Rosalia

This is my 1966 Plymouth Belvedere(yes i know it's marked as a Satellite) She was a plain Jane Belvedere. All the normals, like the 318 with a 2barrle ontop and the 904 Baby torqueflite 3-speed on the coloum and the 2.73 rear gears. PLAIN. As u can see it even came with bumper guards(UGLY) We bought her when i was just 13 years old. And we dropped 800$ for her because she cam with a 72 or 73 forged crank 440 sitting in the engine bay. And as u can see, the body is fairly straight and the only major work to be done is the rear quarter panels. I don't know the full story behind her but i do know she was bought in NC brand new. Sometime in her life the trunk and driver side door were replaced by ones from some yellow 66 or 67. The interior is...there. Thats about it. We are scrapping the front bench seat(if u want it let me know it is reusable) and doing some resto work on the back, you know the whole new covers and cushion thing. We are going with all black interior. Front bucket seats, the 67 style without the head rest. The car itself has about either 50,000 or 150,000 miles on it. Prolly more like 150,000. We don't know what happened to the original 318, or for a fact that it had a 318. We assume it had a 318 and baby torqueflite, but for all we know it could have had a '66 440 MAGNUM and a 727 auto on the coloum, with 3.91 gears. Most likely not. But we don't know the rear gearing until we take it apart because the tag on it isn't there. We are hoping to find 3.23's under the car but we aren't sure whats there.

Plans for the car:

We are going to straighten her out, and get rid of that ugly Belvedere trim. Shoot her Dark Metallic Blue, and put some Mag wheels under her. 3.23 gears. Bucket seats. Lower the car and give her some rake. And now here's the best part. 1969 440 MAGNUM with a mild cam(i think like 550 lift, but not sure) with a mild porting job on the heads(stock cast iron unless we find some aluminum heads) same stroke and bore. And an A-833 4-speed transmission!! What i always wanted! When all is said and done we are thinking she'll be on the upper side of 400 horse to the lower side of 500, depending on what we find on our way through the build.

The interior is there, and thats about it. You can see the auto on the coloum. No carpet. Bench seat, and it ain't doin too well. Steering wheel has had it too.

Well, actually I just had a friend offer me a 318 v8 for free... But since I have such a unique motor I actually plan on hot rodding it out.. 3 2bl carb setup maybe.. or that supercharger kit I posted on the page...

The 440 NEEDS a .030 job but... too costly for me. So for now we are just changein gaskets and seals and such, like new piston rings and all. Clean up the block and put her back together for now.
