My prized possesion, a 1997 BMW 318i. I've done almost all the work on it myself (although I've grabbed a friend or relative to help me out on a few occasions). It's still a work in progress, but I love my car and I love working on it. It doesn't matter how you slice it, this is MY BMW.

Feel free to leave me positive comments or suggestions for future mods. Thanks!

Hey nice car bro. I only just noticed your comment on my guestbook and no I'm not getting 200HP I wish I was, what I said was M42's are only good for 200HP with a lot of mods and for me that's not enough for the investment required that's why I'm looking at other options. I do love the M42 though, its tough as nails and runs really well for what it is and it gets me to work every day with a smile on my face and that's all that matters....

Hell no, did everything myself. If you're going to do it you need to take all your trim/panels off beforehand so you know how everything works/attaches. Stock up on any clips/fastners, because you will break some since your car is a 97. Get some reputable leather/vinyl dye for the job. My interior was the boring brown & tan before I started, so I redid the brown->black, and the tan->red. Prep with DENATURED ALCOHOL (hit up Home Depot's paint section, and get at least a gallon as it evaporates quickly). Break everything you can down into individual pieces, spray/dye at least 2 coats, 3 where you touch a lot(grab handles and shit). finish with some good leather/vinyl protectant. Have fun! and I wanna see pics when you're done.

most of my parts are imported, it's expensive and slow unless i get to join some group buys. happy modding.
