2008 Mitsubishi Lancer SE (Special Edition)
For those not familiar with the Canadian SE trim, it is basically an ES with the front/side skirts, spoiler, fog lights, exhaust tip, and a sunroof. Similar to the US 2009 ES Sport.
Why the SE existed?
Originally, the new Lancer only had three trims in Canada.....DE, ES and GTS. The SE was introduced around October 2007 because the demand for the GTS was too high and the dealerships were running out of units for sale. Therefore, Mitsubishi took an ES and added the front/side skirts, spoiler, fog lights, exhaust tip and sunroof in order to keep the sales going. The SE only cost $1000 more than the ES so it was truly a bargain! especially for those who wanted a sunroof and didn't care about the Rockford Fosgate sound system =D
