The G-Ride!!!
CHECK OUT PAGE 2 FOR UPDATED PICTURES!!!!!!!!!! (02/18/03)
Okay so basically... that's my car! It's a 1982 Toyota Cressida (that I really don't think of as a G-ride). I've been driving this car for about 2 years now, and I had a page on cardomain for a bit, just never had any good digital pics to post up. But anyway I used my bosses camera at work and took a whole ton of pics. As you can see, this ride for being 20 years old is still in excellent shape, it can really shine when it needs to and it also runs like it did the day it came off the lot, it still has plenty of power, it rides like a cloud and blah, I could go on for hours, but I'll try to shut up. Yeah, I do have a system in this thing, it's nothing I would probably ever compete with, but it sounds good, feels nice in the back when I'm driving and keeps me entertained on the drive to school every day (yes, I am a college student). So basically to sum it all up, check out the pics, vote (only picking the good votes of course) and sign my message book, use my poll... and all the rest of it. See ya later!!!
P.S. Vote!

On to the pictures!!
The front of my car. That red and white reflection in the top right corner of the hood is from the flag on the world's biggest flagpole, which is at the Chevy dealer right next to the Chrysler dealership I work at.
The front of the car from a different corner.
The left side. Luckily in this pic you can't see the massive ugly dent in the back door.
The left rear view. This picture sucks because you can see the dent in this one. It's heinous.
This is the view that mustangs and camaros see ;-). Just the back view. Take note of the chrome license plate frame that I put on there because I'm a pimp. And we all know putting a chrome license plate frame on your car makes you a pimp.
Right rear view. Yep, there it is.
Right side view. As you can plainly see it's located on the opposite of the left side.
Right front. The same pic from the top of the page.
Rollin' on dubs. Actually they're 14's so they should be called frubs. Stock hubcaps, BFG Control T/A's with about a gallon of tire shine on em.
The interior from the right side. That colorful bag underneath the glovebox is full of water balloons, it's not a bag of neon chronic like you probably thought it was.
The interior from the drivers side. Sure is blue isn't it?
This is what I see when I'm racing down the road. Well, maybe a little more windshield and a little less pedal.
Here is my deck. It is a JVC KD-SX980. This thing is sweet, it plays CD's, MP3's, has a remote, changer controls, dual preouts, aux in, cd text, etc etc... I'd recommend this to anybody in the market for a good CD player. Below the deck is my gay little black light which I don't think works anymore.
This is what my deck looks like when it's on. See if you can find the hidden message in this one.
This is the little box I use to control my neon light in the headliner. It can stay on or bump with the music.
The neon light that is controlled by the little box. It's pretty bright and doesn't get in my eyes too much when I drive, although I don't use it much anymore so when I drive with it on at night it can get slightly irritating.
To prove the kind of condition that this car is in, here is a shot of the odometer. 20 years old with 146k, pretty damn good if you ask me.
The back seat... because I know you all wanted to see the back seat.
The engine from the front. It's a 6 cylinder (either a 5M-E or a 6M-E, can't remember right now), I think 3.2 liters, 170 horsepower. Still runs like it's brand new and it's not showing any signs of slowing down.
A closer shot of the block and the head. Pretty clean right now, but it's been a couple months since I shampooed it. Brand new plug wires which just replaced the originals like... last week or so.
A little shot of the battery and stuff. Just put this one on because I like to play with digital cameras. You can see my power wire to the amp on the left.
One of the features of my engine is that it looks the same from many angles, this one being one of them.
A shot of my subs and amp from the right side. Sony Xplode and it all matches. My box isn't carpeted for a very good reason... I'm lazy. Also you can kind of see the blue paint on the top front edges of the sub box. This is because when I was making my amp I made it just BARELY too big for my trunk, so whenever it moves around it scrapes on the underside of the trunk lid and gets paint on the edges of the box and fucks it up as well... not cool. Also when it moves way too much it will push up part of my trunk lid making it look really badly misaligned.
A straight on shot of my subs. They are Sony Xplode 12" and yes there is 2 of them. As far as these subs go, they don't sound the greatest and they don't pound the loudest, but they DO get the job done and then some so I'm happy. They do sound good and pound hard don't get me wrong, there is just better out there. Also these subs are a couple years old so I'd like to see how Sony has improved them since then.
Here is my amp. Sony Xplod 760 watt 2 Channel is what she be. You might be able to tell that this is the latest model of this amp. This is because I bought a brand new Xplod a year ago and had the power supply go on me twice, the second time though I took it back to the store and made them give me a new one. Took over a month, but it was worth it. It looks better, bumps more, sounds better and all the rest.
Another pic of the amp. One good thing about this particular Xplod is that the power is underrated and it puts out closer to 200x2 RMS instead of the rated 150x2. I know this for a fact because I have a magazine with the article in it to prove it. So regardless of what people say about Sony, they are at least doing one thing right. Maybe if they put out a bit less power, the power supplies wouldnt Xplod all the time.
A prime example of how not to take a picture.
The magnet on my Loud and Clear 5-1/4's. Got these speakers for free when I bought my last deck, they are alright, could be better that's about all I have to say about them.
The box the JBL's came in.
And the front view of them
...and the side view
The faceplate of my old deck, JVC KD-SX770. Still have it, for sale if anyone wants it. Still in mint condition, 18 months old, have receipts, box, 2 remotes, everything.
I think this is the day I bought my subs and I really wanted to get a pic on here. It's in the box they came in.
The side view of one of the subs.
Side by side... wow.
The chronic (BC Bud).
Tippin' on 3.

These are 2 pic of my little puppy, Shae. The one on the left is when she was very young, I think only 6 weeks old, and the one on the left is when she was a couple months I think, big difference eh? She's a black lab that is now 4 1/2 months old and shes huge... probably 10x the size of the day we got her.
So yeah, there you have it. My car, my system, some ugly pics, some of the finest bc bud you can get, a little lowridin and a puppy. What more could you want in a website? Basically, vote and sign my message book or I'll kill you. See ya later and be sure to check back every now and then for updates. Any other Cressida owners who have any questions, please feel free to e-mail me or leave a message in my guestbook and I'll get back to ya. Peace out!!!
