SubaruGuy72's 1979 Subaru GL

This Subaru started Life as a 2WD Sedan with a 1600cc Engine and 4 speed 2wd Tranny. I took a 1980 Brat Front end Running gear and lifted it 4" Then Grafted an 83 Wagon 4x4 Rear End into it..
Originally My Friend did most of this Build For himself, And I did All the Fabrication Work needed to make the thing Drive. Car wasn't what He wanted, So I traded Him Back out of It, and it is Now my Daily Driver. We also Stuck the 1800cc Engine and Hi-Lo 4 speed into it, Along with Rear Disc Brakes, Weber Carb, Dual Exhaust, Custom Bumpers,And Skid plate , It is Running 15 inch Pug Wheels with 26" tires.Driven sanely this Subi Gives me 27 mpg....:) We just got done with our Anual Spring Break Trip with Several local Lifted Subaru's Enjoy the Pics....
I built Most of these Cars...:)
