Ever since I bought my house, I had been thinking of ways to make my car stand out around town. In the summer of 2011, I came up with a paint scheme, but had yet to buy the compressor to run all my tools. In September 2011, I hooked up my new compressor, and started with some touch up work on my winter beater. I then painted a hood for a friend's BMW 3-series, and the left rear quarter/door on my sister's Matrix. After getting some practice in (I hadn't worked in a bodyshop for over 2 years at this point) I felt I was finally ready to tackle my baby. I had the scheme picked up for almost a year, I had some left over paint from the interior painting I did a few years earlier (pics up soon, after the inside is cleaned up) and primer, clearcoat, etc... from the other jobs I'd been doing. Here is what followed on one rather busy weekend. Please excuse the winter rims/studded tires, I'm in the middle of refinishing my summer rims. Here is what convinced me to start this project, a dent caused by a stray rock that came out the back of my lawn mower. That coupled with a few rock chips on the roof that were starting to rust.
