This is an original SS Convertible with 155K documented original miles. The engine is the 327/300Hp (soild lifters, double hump heads). The first step in the restoration (which will be a frame on since she doesn't need floors) is the convertible top replacement. Going back with original black but changing to cloth. Completed new top install and new carpet (original green). Decided to paint her brilliant silver. Also adding grille bar, skirts and dual antennas.
Stripping the car down I found a lot of patched over rust. As a result she is getting new rockers inner and outer, new rear quarters, new front lower fenders. You just can't tell what's under the paint. Even runnin a magnet didn't reveal all this s**t. So a simple paint job turned into a major project.
Sanding and blocking and paint to be completed by the end of July.
