1986 Brat with custom fuel injection on the stock pushrod motor it has a five speed dual range tranny with a machined flywheel. It front adjustable Loyale struts and springs and has custom built aluminum lift blocks under the front crossmember. I used the steering shaft out of a legacy because it is longer. It has a custom built tube bumper up front that a friend of mine built. It has 4 wheel disc brakes, Loyale radiator with new piece of steel channel used as lower radiator support, and electric fan for better cooling, and custom bracket for power steering.(stock wouldn't fit because of fuel injection)It has a stock roll bar in the bed and has custom made caged lights mounted on the roll bar. It also has a limited slip that had to be made using the carrier out of a 3.70 rear end out of a Loyale turbo and the ring gear out of the brat.It also has 14" Puegot alloy wheels with 26" tires, XT6 seats, a subaru sport steering wheel, and custom wood interior. It goes pretty much anywhere you want to go and its fun as hell to drive! At this time the brat is being modified even more, I am cutting the rear quarters off at an angle to increase departure angles and to get rid of a little rust that has started. I am also putting a 3" lift on it which will make it even bigger and increase ground clearance even more! It will then have a custom rear bumper built for it that is actually functional and is much stronger than the stock one!
Pictures of the new lift! And a few o ther modifications still in progress
Longer Rancho shocks for the rear!
Left, Cutting the rear quarters off and tow hooks in order to extend the rear frame rails for a stronger bumper! Right, Center bearing mount to accomadate 5 spd dual range tranny, which never came on this body style!
The white label is covering up the factory sticker that said "This vehicle is eqiupped for optional A/C," but now it says "This vehicle is equipped with optional climb it control"
New twin stick mod, so that you can have 2WD Lo range as well as the normal 4WD Lo range.
New headlights and trim. These came off of an earlier STD model subaru. I Had to cut the existing sheet metal and bolt these on where they fit. I personally like this look more, and it is a lot more rare. And the lighting is much better!
