my 1966 pontiac starchief 4 door hard top, with 42k original miles on the 389 2-barrel big block.

this car was bought new in birmingham, MI. the old man put 42k miles on it and then he passed away. his wife kept it in the garage in 1974 and it sat for 20 years! she then sold it to a guy in st.clair, MI. in 1986. he had it sit outside for 3 years and then stored it inside for 10 years. just as i was moving out from the house across the street in 2007, he pushed it out to the driveway with a for sale sign of $500. i bought it, pushed it across the street, replaced all the steel brake lines, all of the steel and rubber gas lines, tightened a radiator hose and put new spark plugs in it and it ran and drove!
since then, i had the carb rebuilt, put in a new high torque starter and picked up a few missing parts, executive emblem, bumper light, 2 rust free fenders, a rust free 1/4 panel and a set of MI. 66 license plates. this car has a historical plate and the tab is good till 2017!
the interior is near mint, 1-2" rip in the seat, bad rear view mirror but thats it.
the vinly top is in great shape without 1 flaw.
the floors are solid and just needs a little body work on 1 1/4 panel.
i plan on pulling the motor, cleaning, painting and re-gasketing it. painting the body a cobalt blue, with pearl in it. putting all new springs and shocks on it, upgrading to a hei distributor, putting on dual 2.5" or 3" exhaust.
i also plan on putting on 20-22" rims on it, my 2-15" audiobahn subwoofers and a 4000watt rms MA audio amp along with 4- infinity kappa 6x9"s ran from a kappa 4 ch. amp and 4- infinity kappa 6.5"s ran from the kenwood excelon usb/cd player.

my last and ultimate upgrade planned for this cruiser is a set of fast bag airbag suspension, which probably wont take place for about 3-4 years.
