I originally bought the Chevelle in 1983 as my first car. It had a 194 six cylinder and an air-cooled powerglide. It only had 60K miles on it but it was beat up. I gave it to my parents when they bought me a 4 speed '76 Road Runner. The Chevelle spent the next 20 years sitting in the driveway, backyard, and on a car trailer. The six cylinder did get swapped out for a 283(out of my '67 Chevelle when I installed a built 327) sometime around 1987. I got the car back about five years ago when my dad was going to re-do it for my younger brother. He found a parts car that was in better shape, so he decided to re-do both of them. I got my Malibu back and my brother got the other one. Both got built 350's and rebuilt Powerglides. Since then I swapped in a built Turbo 350, a 10" converter, a trans cooler, and a B&M Star Shifter.

The 350 engine is .030 over with 1.94 heads, Comp Cams valvetrain, Edelbrock Performer intake, Carter AFB carb, and headers.

It has the original 10 bolt rear with 3.08 open end. I get no traction at all. I'm planning to install 3.73 gears and a posi unit this summer.
