Yo wus up car domain? This is one of my other vehicles. A 2000 Chevy Tahoe. I got it at a steal. This is my truck when it use to look like someone's grandma owned it.
I have done alot to it since then. With a little help from a guy by the name of John, my tahoe has come a long way. still plenty left to do though. maybe sooner or later he'll put his Hoe online for everyone to see. he's the reason I decided to lower mine. he has his lookin good with the 3" drop. First thing i did was throw a low budget system in it. A prefab box ($100)from ebay. Two refurbished 15" Kicker CVX 2000w ($120 a piece)
from the best site on earth... Ebay. A cheap 1300watt RMS amplifier made by lanzar ($140)it says 4000watts, but we both know it dont put out that much.
The second thing I did was get those duce 4's i been dreamin of.
Look at that fat ass lip!! you just got to love it.
The third thing I did was tint the windows. Paid about $55 even to get the front two windows to match the back. The guys down at Teckno hooked me up.
Ok... now I throw the wheels on. actually, I threw the wheels on before I got the windows tinted. The truck was still at factory hight at this point. Then i got to thinkin about my boy John and how good his truck looks. I had to drop mine low.
From here the tuck dont look too bad sittin high.
it dont look bad from the back either.
from over head.
From far away.
I found a 3" front And 3" rear lowering kit from Tire rack.com that only cost me $244... well, $266 after shipping. the front consisted of torshion keys to adjust the front end as you please. the rear had coil springs that cannot be adjusted, unless you want to heat them to get that extra inch or so of drop to sit it level with the front.I think it looks alot better with the drop. Tell me what you think.
i GOT RID OF THOSE OXIDISED BUMPER LIGHTS TOO, AND MY BOY jOHN SHOWED ME HOW TO GET RID OF THAT RACK ON TOP.
THANKS FOR STOPPIN BY. RATE ME AND TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK IN MY GUESTBOOK.
Today I painted the brake calipers black and the under body, a flat black. i used the hand brush paint instead of the spray on. to do it the right way it took me from 12:00pm to 8:00pm
first i had to get the hoe up in the air on them goodrinch stands.
then i had to wire brush everything down, then use a full can of braake clean per wheel.
don't look bad after around two coats of the good stuff.
this is how the calipers look after the wheels are on.
this is the end result. later i'll try and take off the emblems.
Ok, I decided to do a little update since my boy John let me buy his Earthquake subs. There was nothing wrong with the kicker subs that i had. as a matter of fact, i still have them and if you know someone who wants them. I'll take $250 for them(box and subs)
dont wory about that weyerhaeuser hard hat. thats just what keeps me gettin money...lol
This Is the new alrm system i had installed on the hoe. One of my boys gave me a hot tip that he heard a couple of guys skeemin on breakin in my baby. You know i can't have that. Its got a one mile range on it, auto start, and some other shit. You cant stop a thief... but i know how to slow that ass down with the quickness...
.40 cal. Taurus PT100
