Driving home Sunday night in my Chevy Cobalt took a turn for the worst - On a country road, I hit a flooded road at 60 mph and spin the car into a pool of water. The car sunk about 3 ft before it bottomed out. This incident marked the end of this car, giving me the opportunity to search for a new one. For about a month, I borrowed my buddy's 1998 Ford Escort SE. The car had a cracked windshield, third gear was missing, the tires were worn past the safety bead, and the exaust had fallen apart....A true piece of shit. I came to conclusion that the next car I was going to get HAD to be a MANUAL transmission(I could not stand the lag the Cobalt's transmission had...and also the fact I was ridiculed for driving a chick car). It also had to have a 6 cylinder engine... a step up from my past cars with 4 bangers. Finally, it had to be a sedan, so I could drive my buddies around (since most of them have coupes) and enough room to transport my baby girl. After another month of investigating, I finally found a 4th gen Maxima. It had everything I wanted... The power, the room, and the trans :) It was also fully loaded with a sunroof and power everything.... The best find in a car I could ask for. Unfortunately, all good finds HAVE to have a drawback.... it was originally a city car and the trans sounded like crap. After driving it for about a week, the trans finally took a dump, so I took the initiative and threw in a heavy duty clutch with a rebuilt trans.
