This is my 89 corsica which I bought off a friend of mine for $20. It sat in this field at his grandparents place for 3 years. I was very hesitant to purchase this vehicle cuz I hadn't seen it and when i finally did get out to see it I new I had to have it, to tell you the truth I never liked corsicas, they are plain and not very attractive. when i saw this car it changed my mind completely. i never even knew that hatchback corsicas excited till I saw this car. it is very clean inside and the body is in suprisingly good shape. I knew that the undercarrage would be a different story but I figured for $20 bucks who cares..lol, The keys for the doors were lost so we found an old tire iron in the grass and smashed out the little triangular window on the back door, there were paint cans stacked to the roof in the back ot the car. $120 bucks towing charge later I had the car at my place and with a new battery the 2.8 started fine on 3 year old gas, after I looked it over with some friends we noticed a strong gass smell. we looked underneath the car and just behind the driverside rear tire there was fuel spilling onto the ground. we shut off the car and looked to see a rusted out fuel line. the rust underneath could be and probably is unrepairable. but even if thats the case I'm going to use this car as a teaching tool. i wonna teach myself basic bodywork and possibly repaint the car. I'v already put a fuzzy interior in the car and it turned out way better than I thought it would..lol though I ran out of material before I got to the seats and dash. $150 on that. thats almost $300 on a car that probably is unfixable..lol cross your fingers

well I now have some pics of the not quit so fuzzy but very soft material I put in the car. I took out the back seat so it would be easier to put the material on but like I say I ran out.
i also got some shots of the underneath the car, and I think it looks pretty good, though I only took pics of the really rusty spots. i also took some pics of the shitty weathered paint job and by the marks on the door it looks like someone was trying to break in with a coat hanger..lol. I now have high hopes for this car as it seems it might be road worthy sooner than later

I patched the fuel line and drove the beast up and down the road and it's not to bad, started on the minor surface rust on the body, i can't do under the car cuz i have no clue what im doin so i'll let some one who knows what they are doin fix that...lol
I started the surface rust and found some holes in the hood. I got some bondo and attempted to patch a hole..lol it didn't work at first cuz the bondo dried to fast, so i mixed it better the second time and it worked fine. i finally have a job! so progress can begin on this car, and it can get the profesional help it needs.
and the damn fuel line broke in a different spot.
