This is my 88 GTA Trans am. It has 93,000 miles. 6,000 miles on a rebuilt 350 bored 25 over, and 5,000 miles on 700r4 with kevlar clutch packs, b&m shift kit, and 2nd gear corvette servo.
Pics from the day of purchase still at previous owners house:
March 21st, 2008:
So far since ive owned the car, alot has been done. First thing was rebuild the headlights.
The starter died on me the second day i had it. That was a bitch and a half. GM conviniently located it above the y-pipe with a gap that wasnt big enough on either side for the starter to drop. So i had to take the solenoid off while it was up there, drop that, then drop the starter. To put the new one in i had to take off the solenoid, put the starter up, then reatach the solenoid. Not fun.
A week later i found out that my battery was bad. It was working the alternator so hard that it got fried too. So i replaced the alternator and the battery.
Now that i had a new battery and alternator i figured i'd put my system in. I have a JVC headunit, 2 12" MTX's in a led plexi glass jensen box, which is run by a 1200 watt insignia amp, and 2 12" magnums run by a 1000 magnum amp. Rediculously retarded. As soon as i get another car to use as a DD, the mtx's are leavin the T/A. Thats just too much.
About a week later i started the exhaust. It now has flowtech headers, a flowtech y-pipe, a magnaflow cat, and i'll be gettin a GMMG catback as soon as i have the money.
Fuel pressure regulator went also. I'm currently getting about 3 MPG. So this tuesday when i get back to the shop i'm puttin my new adjustable bbk fuel pressure regulator in, and while i have it torn apart, i'm going to service the injectors.
I'll have a ton more pics as soon as i get it home. It currently has a white hood (the one that was on my 87), and i'll be putting primered fenders on it. If your wondering why, its because the previous owners son wrecked it twice. Both fenders are mangeled, and the hood was all bent up above the pass. side headlight.
Thanks and keep checkin back.
