if you have stock susepnsion. 29's will still rub...depending on how wide you go. I have a 2.5 inch lift. My all terrains are 235/75 on 16inch (28.5ich) rims and they were perfect, only rubbed when they articulated all the way up. I have recentley bought a set of 265/65 (31.5ich) BFGoodRich Mud Terrain and they are the best thing you could ever put on a Disco but a little bending, guard rolling and angle grinding was needed to stop bending and rubbing. All trial and error i suppose. Good luck with the Disco

the front bumper trim is easy, all you do is take a dremel and trim off however much you want. I just took a hammer to the fog lights and just cut the wires. If you offroad alot then eventually the fog lights are going to break and the bumper is gonna crack. And i saw you're getting thornbirds, Are you getting 30's on stock springs? They're going to rub alot if theyre on stock springs. You might wanna go for some 29" tsl's which shouldnt rub. Mine barely rub and theyre 29's.
