I was riding a motorcycle around my neighborhood and i caught this 1 out of the corner of my eye - (BARELY). Years ago I found a 72 in the trees and paid $100.00 for it. So, I found the owner and did the same for this one.
I'm just getting into it. I'm not sure where it's headed right now. V8, but not now, Maybe even V6. My 72 never made it past getting it registered and running when a kid pulled up in a 71 C/20 and traded me straight across.
Anyway, hopefully some of you H body guys will be able to steer me in the right direction when I hit a hump. Cause from the looks of this 1, that may be tomorrow.
Starting to clear out engine compartment. It's great living in the mountains, until you park a car for a while. What I know so far is that it hasn't been on the road since 98. When I brought it home, I filled up a 30 gallon trash can with odd stuff a mouse brought in. So far, I've almost done another 30.
As if spending about 3 hours sucking turds out of the car wasn't enough. Wasp nests on the timing gear also. The engine spins freely, maybe I'll see about saving it. Still up in the air.
I want some more of these wheels. Any of you looking to clear out the back yard of Vega stuff, let me know. I want to make custom stock looking wheels.
I know noone builds a stock Vega anymore. The engine's in good shape though. I put 150+ miles on a vehicle every time I go to town. With gas the way it is, the 4 cyl looks better and better every time I walk by.
