This is my 1976 Chrysler New Yorker. I drove it daily during high school, and it still serves as my main transportation when I'm home. I did all the work to it, including the paint job. When I repainted it, I removed most of the trim, hood ornaments, bumperettes, and other stuff to clean up the body lines. I also blacked out the grilles, and added the Cragar wheels for a more muscular look. It's got a Dynomax 2 1/2" Dual exhaust system, headers, a Quadrajet carb, air shocks, an eclipse CD system with changer, and a plethora of other goodies. I removed all the smog equipment and retimed/tuned the engine. It now gets around 17 mpg on the highway, not bad for a big old 440. If you take a look inside, I also did a lot of work to the interior. It has a front console with stewart warner guages, a tachomoter, and a better looking instrument panel out of a Newport. I also added the Grant "Tuff" style wheel (supposedly not possible to do with these cars, but I managed it). Everything that was originally wood grain is now a gold and black pattern, intended to be the beginnings of what might eventually turn into a 300 Hurst clone.
Me and my brother while I was home for Christmas.
Plush quarters indeed.
440 cubic inches of pure motivation.
First time out after the paint job.
