So far, the NewYorker needs an engine teardown, and to replace some metal on the right side of the rear window. My 440 hasn't turned over since they parked it. My current plan is to get a diesel engine and make it run on vegetable oil.

Therefore, after a quick inspection after the engine was ripped out, squirls got into the intake and it may never get to be a good engine again. I got a 1985 suburban and as soon as i fix the few holes, I will rip the diesel engine out of the truck, put it in the car, find out how the powersteering will work, along with the power brakes, and subject it to the changes of vegetable oil fuel.

Hey, nice big car... a New Yorker with a 400.... better get her running. That is a nice looking car. Nothing beats cruising an old ride... nothing!! Post pics when you can. Come by and check out my 59 Dodge sometime.
