Welcome to my Renault Clio Sport side.
This side is dedicated to my car Renault Clio Sport 172. I traded my old BMW E39 520iA for this one february 2003. It was a big leap to go from my old BMW cruizer to this little hot hatch but I think it was worth it. At least this car is cheaper to run and a lot quicker. I think its quite nice

I miss my old bimmer a little and it was a sweet ride no argue about that. But it wasn't cheap. It used a bit to much gas for my taste and the inspections cost a fortune. When the maintainance time came I had enough and sold it after two really expensive checks. I'm not quiting bimmers though, I plan on getting another one, one with a "real" engine!
The best thing about the car is the 1998cc engine. It produces 172bhp DIN at 6250rpm and 200Nm ISO (148 lb/ft) of torque at 5400rpm. The engine is at best at above 5000rpm and when you hit 6000rpm its really fun to drive. Here you can see the engine

First I only had a K&N 57i induction kit and an Ecotek valve fitted so the power was about the same, but I have bigger plans(200bhp+). Here are pictures of the K&N intake

After I installed the K&N intake the sound totally changed. It used to sound really cool, like a tipical french performance car, but after it sounded like hell on wheels! Everybody turned their head when I drove past and people were not as eager to race me.
BUT it came at a cost; with this intake the car got more air but hotter air so the car was losing power when the enginebay got hot. So when I had noticed this I replaced the K&N with a Pipercross Viper cold air induction kit.

Here's a picture of the car with the Remus back box system I had installed:

I'e also bought a Perfect Power smt6 engine management system which I haven't had fitted yet. If I have the car de-catted and fit the smt6 the 200bhp mark should be close enough and I will probably leave it there...or go turbo;
