this is my 2005 chevy colorado. Currently I have a 4" skyjacker lift and am riding around on 285/75R16's (33's). They are mounted on a set of XD Series Hoss wheels.

the new hardware. Makes a person feel good putting new parts on.

Back home in the desert, just wheeling around

Gotta love mountain trips! Loaded down after Our Elk hunt this year. Got to play in plenty of mud up there!
I can't stop changing thing so this is what she looks like nowadays. The three KC's up front look better that just the two in my opinion. Let me know what you guys/girls think?
Still a little surprised that tire stayed on the ground.

This is the rear bumper that I had finished not too long ago. It was a long time comming and still have a few modifications to make, but its getting there. Please let me know what you think of my fab work, any feedback is greatly appreciated! Always trying to improve.

This was the way that I was set up before..

This is after I had just finished building the light bar on top of the rack that I had built 3-4 years ago. I mounted 4 KC Daylighters and two Hella 700 FF's between the front bumper and light bar. Shines nicely!

After a little TLC.

These are the new wheels. XD Series Hoss wheels on 285/75/R16 BFG AT/KO's. No, they arent mudders but they last and hook up well in just about everything. Besides, I put 55K on the last pair that I had. A damn good tire if you ask me.... and yes they do get dirty!

Just out having a little fun on the weekend.

The tip on the new exhaust I just Built. That Primer colored brown thing hanging off the back is the rear bumper that I've been building but have not had time to finish just yet. I do all my own fab work so im on a weekend warrior time schedule.
FUTURE PLANS:
Solid axle swap to dana 60 front and rear w/air lockers (funding permitting, cross your fingers!)
Ram air hood (good hood from keystone)
would love to do a 5.3, 5.7, or 6.0L engine swap but again, time and money conflict with that dream.
Leer truck cap, havent seen one yet to know what to expect though?
On an end note: I really have to comment on what edmonds.com has to say in their review about the colorado each year. It's unfortunate that they bash on them so much, especially this year with the '09 having and available 5.3 V8. They really talk up the tacomas and pretty much hate on everything else. Don't get me wrong, tacomas are great little trucks. A little out of my budget for 35,000 though. I'll by a full size at that price thanks. And yes the 5.3 Colorado isn't exactly cheap either, but look at what you're getting. Their main points were on towing capacity and power. I have to say after owning a toy and my bro currently having one, this truck roasts toys all day long. And towing? whaa? If youre buying a 1/4 ton truck to pull upwards of 6,000 lbs youre really just asking to get pushed around by that trailer. Jack-knife much? Especially now that the '09 rado has a 300 horse 5.3 in it. Lets see any other midsize even think about keeping up with that. Nothing short of the Dodge Dakota with the 318 magnum or the 5.9 could hang with it much less beat it. Towing or draggin' them. I felt like this had to be commented on since this little truck of mine has been to hell and back on some hunting trips. 90,000 miles with a lift and no problems seems like a sound vehicle to me.
