I acquired my 1980 928 Euro in December of 2004. My brother picked who lives in Cali did the PPI and picked up the car. I let him enjoy it for two months while I organized a trip to drive it back to Michigan. This is how the car looked when we took it to his buddies house in Wrightwood CA for some pre-trip repairs:

My son and I drove the car back from Wrightwood CA to McPherson KS all on two-lane national scenic byways (except for one small stretch in Las Vegas on I-15).
