switchballin27's 1992 Pontiac Sunbird

I have A 1992 Pontiac Sunbird Convertible. I Bought it recently for 1500 and I wish to really put some money and work into this car. I would love to put more power into the sunbird. I have been working and saving money to put into my car. If anyone has any ideas please let me know.

switchballin27's 1992 Pontiac SunbirdIt is a basic stock 2.0 4 cylinder engine for now and is actually is great shape compared to what I have seen in other birds.
switchballin27's 1992 Pontiac SunbirdI have leather seats which is also in great shape but i would like to put some more style into the interior but for now i just would like to make the bird run strong.

switchballin27's 1992 Pontiac SunbirdI bought these rims from a friend that also had a sunbird but junked it so I bought the rims off of him to put onto mine.

...............................................................Just a few more pictures of my sunbird.......................................

Hey man disregard my opinion about forgetting about putting a cat converter on there cause it looks like I'm going to have to do that to quiet mine down a bit,but the decision is yours I thought I would let you know I got stopped for too loud of exhaust.

Not bad at all, nice starter project. The turbo was a factory option up till 1990, the intercooler and BOV are add ons, suspension is Eibach(I highly recommend the lowering springs because they vastly improve the mushy handling of the car and turn it into a go-cart) and the trans is stock, but if you want to meet some real hardcore folk, go to www.j-body.org and go to the forums section and check out all the performance mods all those maniacs are up to, everything from minor to major, engine swaps, trans upgrades, nitrous and boost(turbos), it's all there and registration is free. There is a plethora of usefull information on that site, you just need to spend the time to find it, cheers and good luck.

hey there how are ya? nice ride

that tornado thing isn't going to help you at all...

it's like buy an electric turbo charger that forces air in thru your intake.... it gains you nada except less money in your pocket...you wanna do the right stuff to make your car run better with more power, you could get a complete turbo motor from a sunbird (was a 4 cyl with turbo) or swap in a quad four 2.4L engine, or the BEST way to get more power.... find you a 3400 V6 from like a 99 or 200 or newer pontiac & put it in there...we are talking stock 180 to 200 horse power under your hood..thats your best bet cause you can get those 3400 engines relatively cheap at wrecking yards all day long, the gm 3400 is great v-6 & the guys on V6Z24.com & on j-body.org have posted lots of info on how easy the swap is...
if you are not on either board yet, go join both & enjoy your J-Body sunbird :)
