This is my '73 AMC Javelin, I bought it in Cincinnati, for $1,200. You cant beat that, right? It's a 304 V8, with 60,000 miles, the previous owner rebuilt it. The transmission is a 998 Torque Command 3spd Automatic w/ a Horseshoe Shifter. The car runs and drives great, however it does leak a little oil.

UPDATE 1/24/2009: The engine is out and it is FINALLY being built! The block is getting bored .030 over honed and hot-tanked. I ordered an Engine rebuild kit from Summit and it is soon to be put together. I have a few more things to order like the roller rockers, valve springs, cam & lifter kit, torque converter, 3.73 gear, and the intake manifold. Theres still a lot of work to be done but it should be ready for bracket racing by mid-march early april. Still more updates and pics to come, lol.

UPDATE 7/25/2008: The car is now in grey etch primer awaiting some finishing touches. I have also replaced both strut rod bushings, and replaced the brake lines. New pics soon!

UPDATE 6/1/2008: I finally raced it, it's not too quick but it'll get there. It ran a 16.934 @ 79mph, a 17.140 @ 77mph, and a 17.409 @ 74mph. More to come!

UPDATE 5/30/2008: The new Edelbrock Signature Series Valve Covers are on. The car is now in Gray Primer. Me and a couple of my friends fixed the wobble in the front wheel. It happened to be the Strut-Rod Bushings. We also fixed the leaky brake line in the rear, so it stops now!! Lol. More updates to come.

oh hi!! nice car you've got here... you don't see alot of amc's running around very often... sometimes I wish my dad would've gotten me into classic cars because this trans am can be a major pain to work with sometimes but on the bright side it gives me and my dad a challenge =] hope to see this javelin down @ edgewater sometime!
