Hey everybody, my names eljay and i live out in southington ohio. i found this car not to far from me sitting at an auto wrecking place with a little dealers lot out front. I was told the guy who had it before me paid 5500 for it, granted that was probably in a time before george bush i could believe that. Im great friends with the guy who had it and so he told me 2500 would take it but instead i traded him my 97 olds bravada. In my mind a cadillac is worth twice anything else is just for havin the crown and wreath. I got her in October and she treats me great, i named her Calina and put a pioneer in her radioless dash, in the process i discovered the previous owner replaced all the factory speakers with alpines. She had 59,000 original miles and by some miracle is about 97% rust free although its 38 years has been spent here in ohio. theres a little crispiness in the corners in the trunk but no holes, and although the vinyl top isnt rusting the corners of my back windshield look like they could have rust starting. I dont see many people on here talking about the down sides to there car but consider im never selling this one. I also have a horribly cracked windshield on the passenger side. I would have it changed by now but i plan on her spending some time under a roof for the winter so theres plenty of time.
More recently ive installed 2 Dei Comp 12" subs in the trunk set inside a ported box and powering them is a 1600 watt lanzar amplifier. I dont have it shaking everything loose yet because id like to hide the wires, bumps dont seem as fun when you trip over wires on your way in.
