1962 Ford Thunderbird
FE (Ford-Edsel)390V8
Cruise-o-Matic 3spd Automatic
Leafs back/Struts and coils front.

Weird things about the car...
The car will only start if you move the slide away steering wheel all the way to the right.
Nobody else can make the key turn.
The fins create little tornadoes when you drive through clouds of dust or smoke.
Brake drums cost $115 each.
Rich boys in new Thunderbirds think that I want to talk to them.

I've been working on this car for two years between school and work. It's a daily driver, and my primary mode of transportation next to my motorcycle. I want to take it on the HotRod Magazine Power Tour in the summer of 2003.

hey want some advice? The car will only start if you move the slide away steering wheel all the way to the right. - check under the steering colomb, theres about 5 or 6 wires with two 5/16 or 3/8 bolts holding them on, thats the park/nuetral switch, take it off clean it. make sure it lines up right, play with it. also, check the amount of wear in the linkage, its a bitch but pull the steering wheel, gear selector, and blinker setup and take a peek at the end of the shift lever there. Nobody else can make the key turn. - clean that shit The fins create little tornadoes when you drive through clouds of dust or smoke. - gotta love em Brake drums cost $115 each. - junk yards in your area? other old fords use the same drums, galaxies, trucks, fairlanes... Rich boys in new Thunderbirds think that I want to talk to them. - theyre jealous - will sendpicturehere@hotmail.com

I love this model year. Probably my favorite of all time. Keep up the good work. Just an F.Y.I... my good friend Dan Newman is the parts director at Joe Cooper Ford which services Midwest City, Shawnee, and Yukon. I don't know Oklahoma well enough say if that's close to you - but he can certainly help you with your parts needs. See page 14 of my Cardomain page, or call him at 800-266-6049. Good luck! Anthony L.
