UNDER CONSTRUCTION:

(The car, not the page)

Well the time has come, and the long process of my SVX's overhaul has begun!!! I am so frikin stoked, you have no idea!!! BUT, before I post pics of my recent progress I will show you what happened last year around August I believe. On my way home from work I rear ended a Honda Civic hatch. My SVX got away with minor damage, still drivable,

but for the Honda, well....

As you can see, it was totaled, but if I hadent veered off into the left lane, both of our cars would have been totaled.

Well, with that sad story out of the way, I can now begin to show you the progress of deconstruction. I made a deal with my friend who also has a '94 SVX, my transmission out of me SVX for his Mopar 360 in his garage for my Volare. So that wasthe first thing to come out. In the process of taking out the tranny, I removed the fender, bumper, grill, headlights and many parts of the engine to make the uninstallation process easier.

I removed the air filter and intake box connected to the throttle body...

... the alternator, A/C compressor and hoses. Took out the battery and put it in the Volare. Removed the external tranny cooler, filter, and hoses later to be installed on my friends SVX.
The engine is practically ready to be pulled out, which will probably be the next thing that I will do! Next are some pics of under the car with the tranny, drive line, and rear-diff removed. Unfortunatly they are with the car on the ground, i forgot to take some when it was up on stands.

That's it for now. I will definalty post updates as soon as I do more! So be sure to check back! In the mean time, check out the other pages. This car lead a great life, giving me great pride and pleasure in the drive. Though it will no longer be know as "MTNDUDE" but upon rebirth will be know as "Phoenix". Being stripped down and reborn, like the phoenix that bursts into flames and is reborn among the ashes.
