1974 Pontiac Trans Am. Only had her 2 years and got a bunch of stories. Bought her in Orlando in '06 and drove her home (mistake # 1 - should have towed it - I know better now.) While racing my brother in law Tommy on I-95 in his M3 (mistake # 2) she developed a bad knock. Tried to get to the next exit and blew the motor behind a Florida Trooper! He circled back to make sure I was ok. Tommy said I left a football field long trail of oil before the Ft. Pierce exit (that also stayed visible for 2 years afterwards!) Long story short - $300 tow later and 6 guys with my wife steering to push it up my driveway into the garage. Sat for 8 months while I decided what to do. Hooked up with Bruce Thompson of Thompson Auto in Pompano and I tell you he is the best at what he does. Took out the boat anchor 400. The guy I bought it from was basically full of $&*! - crappy build and it had 1975 "51" heads on it, which were 455 heads and would have actually lowered compression to 7:1 (huh?) Found out she threw 1 rod straight through the the pan and 1 was still in there! Bruce said it was crap and probably a good thing it let go when it did. Dropped in a worked 68 GTO 400 Bruce happened to have laying around (ha!) Dressed it up and here we are. Car was originally 455, Admiralty Blue with Black interior, bird delete. Currently Red with White interior. Adding bird shortly. 74K original miles. Original full size BF Goodrich spare in the trunk! Hurst Dual Gate shifter. Bought the Formula Wheel and will be putting that on shortly as well. I love my T/A. Hope you like her too.

A pic of me and the red rocker himself. I used to work in radio and we had Sammy in at the station. He was great and he wanted to hang but his people were dragging him out! The T/A would make Mr. Highway Wonderland proud!
