This is my newly acquired 1970 Mercury Cyclone GT. It's been in a neighbor's back pasture for the past 17 years. It's got a 351 cleveland, FMX tranny true duals, great interior, and all emblams and trim. It also has power disk brakes, factory a/c, and Power steering. I got it for 1500, and it should be back on the road by this summer. I'll be uploading pics as this (hopefully quick) restoration progresses.

Rednek25's 1970 Mercury Montegorear seat the day i brought it home. Not bad for being in a pasture for the better part of 17 years

Rednek25's 1970 Mercury Montegointerior the day i brought it home. Seat on driver side has pretty bad rip and some of the foam is missing. the seat covers were installed in '82 i believe.

Rednek25's 1970 Mercury Montegowould you believe all the wheels turned? we had to use my buddies blazer and his winch, but all of them turned, and 3 tired actually held air, i was amazed.

Rednek25's 1970 Mercury MontegoThis is how she looks right now. New brakes all the way around, recovered dash, new wheels and tires. I've been working on my other car trying to get it on the road, so this one is next.the body is near perfect. Just some door dings and some slightly bent trim is all i will be dealing with on this car. everything is bone stock. I have every factory tags still in place (engine, rear-end, trim, door,) and i even found the owner's manual in the glovebox. It is truly a great find. more pictures to come.

Gotta love it. I drove one in high school back in '82 & 83. If you ever come across my old VIN #0H16H515599 that was it and let me know; I'd love to know where it is these days. 5 stars for the memories.

What a great deal. I just paid twice that for a Montego MX. I hope your project goes well...That's cash in the bank you have. What are your plans? Stock? What a rare color. I love these cars soooo much, very cool rides. Keep in touch. Charlie
