OmahaGT's 2007 Porsche 911

Finally less than 3000lbs!

OmahaGT's 2007 Porsche 911

My 997 GT3 is Slate Grey Metallic. This special color has been discontinued.  Also, the last GT3/RS has came off the porsche line-

Yellow brake calipers contrast beautifully-

These brakes are gorgeous, lightweight, never fade, and are massive offering incredible stopping power.  The lightweight carbon ceramic rotors save significant weight over conventional rotors. Dropping unsprung weight (what spins) is the most important place to cut weight. Ceramic rotors improve acceleration, handling, and of course braking. The crests on the wheels are also a nice touch.

Check out how the rotors look like stone-

Dymag carbon fiber and magnesium wheels! The barrel is entirely visible carbon fiber and the frame is magnesium.

These save significant unsprung weight. The front wheels weigh just 16.5 lbs and the rears are 19.5 lbs each. These are very wide 19" wheels! The factory front wheels are 1/2 inch narrower and weigh 24 lbs 5 oz and the rears are 30 lbs 13 oz. This equals nearly 8 lbs off each front wheel and over 11 lbs off each rear wheel. A total weight savings of about 40 lbs off the wheels!!

The carbon fiber lip and vent look incredible-

The carbon fiber lip is lighter, stiffer, and even more aerodynamic than the plastic lip from the factory-

The vent was plastic. It is designed for air to escape from under the car allowing for even more downforce-

The GT3 RS carbon fiber wing is on. It came from Cargraphic ot of Germany. The decklid is also made of lightweight carbon kevlar.

As for the INTERIOR, alcantara (suede)and carbon fiber cover nearly everything.

Serious bucket seats! They grab your hips and ribs so tight. Getting out of them is not easy- it can make you look pretty stupid-

Rennline aluminum pedals with red extensions, floorboards, and trackmats. The extensions help for downshifting and braking at the same time. The aluminum track floor mats save weight and your feet really slide to the pedals nicely.
