Hello and welcome. This is my daily driver, a 1997 Nissan Maxima, purchased used in January of 2005.

Update Oct of 2008: Not much new... Hit 172.000 miles on the odo. Still running strong!

Update July of 08: Here are some night time pictures taken this spring (May of 08), while hanging out in Northridge, CA.

The car is very clean in and out (not perfect though) and still running like a champ after a total of more than 165.000 miles on the odometer.
It's a GXE trim but it does have a few tricks up its sleeve, such as front driver electric seat, aftermarket MP3 player with input jack, fog lamps, window tint and a nice dark cherry woodgrain kit (rarely seen on the GXE trims).ReneSoCal's 1997 Nissan MaximaReneSoCal's 1997 Nissan Maxima
In July of 2005, I got tired of the wacky stock GXE hubcaps and opted for a set of silver BSA 17's wrapped in Hankook tires. However I did not bother lowering the car (maybe in the future).ReneSoCal's 1997 Nissan MaximaReneSoCal's 1997 Nissan Maxima
The 17's still give the car a meaner, yet classier stance. I'm glad I did not get anything bigger than 17's - the streets and freeways of LA are often in a terrible shape and remember, this is a daily driver. Kudos to those of you guys who manage with bigger wheels.

Chronology:
01/2005 - Purchase
07/2005 - Replaced stock wheels by silver 17's BSA w/ Hankook rubber
03/2007 - Replaced the faded stock burlwood dash kit by a new fresher dark red cherry woodkit
05/2007 - K&N performance air filter

Here are some interior shots. I keep it as clean as possible. The two tone beige and brown ambiance is enhanced by the wood kit. One regret though, I wish the stock tint was darker.

The sound system is stock except for the head unit. The speakers are very decent, even though the driver side one is showing signs of weakness (sometimes mute). That's one thing to do on my fix list.

Hahah I havent done the interior yet! LOL. BUT heres what I am doing. Im getting it repainted, BLACK of course color sanded with clear coat. I have recently added some HID for the from Lamps...Plan to do all lights in back soon also, since they look 10x better now. I have ordered my YinYang Custom Carbon Fiber clusters, those should be here next week. And...Thats about it....Next I will get the Dashkit and Momo Pitstop Ebrake. Then on to the interior I suppose. lol
