Get out there and give your engine bay some Flavor!!!
Anyways, I've bought my first DOHC V6 project car, a 1994 Mitsubishi 3000GT in great condition!!!
All I can say is:
(1)Know who your buying it from and what there driving record is like, with Intelius.com
(2)Know what the condition the car is and where it's been, with CarFax.com
(3)Get all the Factory Vehicle Specs for Every Year and Generation of the Car you want, (Example)
The guy I bought it from had it for eight years, never had a single speeding ticket and kept it running like new!!! I still can't believe I found one in such good shape!!! So now that I've cleaned it and installed a little security, along with a ZoomBak. I figured I'd put up a few of my favorite pics!!!
I was going to put up a few pics of the wieght shaving I did. However, I'll just say that aside from tossing out the spare tire and all the jack stuff. The ONLY way to safely shave any wieght is to go to the FAQ Section of TEAM3s.com!!! I don't care how many Mitsubishi Sites you've been to. TEAM3S.com will put any web site including DSMTUNERS.com and 3SI.org to shame!!! Of course in terms of technical walkthroughs, THIS SITE is a must since no Haynes or Chilton Manuals were ever made for our cars....
I love my car, but I also have a 3.3R Powered Nitro Stampede and an XBOX 360 to support.
So I try to buy as many parts from EBAY as I can!!!
Unfortunately, some can only be found on 3SX.com and GTPRO.com
Along with all the regular maintenance parts from Auto Parts WhareHouse

Allright, first I'll talk about my favorite car moment and then I'll move on to the pics of my car!!!
"I was having a discussion with a friend in front of an AutoZone and a guy with a white Ford Mustang pulls up. He sees us talking and says,
"Next time buy a RT Stealth and break 200!!!"
We turn towards him and say,
"Break 200???"
He's like,
"Yeah!!! You know, 200 HorsePower??? I got a friend who drives a Base Model Stealth with the same headlights as yours. Dodge says it's rated at 164 HP and does 16.8 in the quarter mile."
At that point we just started laughing....
Then I asked him what he drives and what it runs. He said,
"She's an 05 Ford Mustang and she has 210 HP, Weighs 3,500 lbs and does the quarter mile in 15.3!!!"
Then we really started laughing.... I said,
"I drive a 94 3000GT that only comes with the DOHC V6 that has 222 HP from the factory and weighs 3197 lbs with the spare and the jack!!! The SOHC 164 HP engine was a 94 Dodge Stealth Exclusive, they were never even offered in the 94 3000GT!!! Plus, I've got over 35 HP on your Mustang and I'm over 400 lbs lighter!!! Not to mention my JET Chiped ECU pushed me into the 14's on it's own before I even got my intake and exhaust done!!!"
At that point he got mad and said,
"You Know what F### You!!!"
Then he went back to his car without even going into the AutoZone, burned out of the parking lot and left like he'd been called an ignorant wannabe.....
It was at that moment that I really fell in love with my car!!!
Only a few people know they'll do 15's in the quarter if you take out the spare tire and the jack!!! I just laugh at anyone who doesn't know the factory HP or Weight of a base model 94 3000GT, it's an inside joke for most of us!!! Why??? Becuase we all know we have more HP and Torque than our main rival the 1990 V6 300ZX, plus we're lighter too!!! So why does the 300ZX do 15.5 factory with less horsepower, torque and more weight??? The freaking ECU!!! Once the ECU is chiped, it pulls like a 222 HP car with a 8% boost in power should!!! I allmost feel sorry for the poor ignorant sap that doesn't even know to call the dealer and get the vehicle HP and Weight specs before they start talking trash....
P.S. For anyone who wants a laugh, use the HP and Weight specs the guy gave me for his Mustang on this link to compare our Zero to Sixty Times!!!

I bought her in March 2008, so I'm just getting started on her....
However, I hope to have the important stuff done by December 2009!!!
A complete kit including all the extras for only $4095.00!!! H#ll yes and it'll push 356hp at 6lbs of boost reliably on the factory 10 to 1 compression pistons with no problems at all!!! That's a 45% increase in HorsePower & Torque over my current 246hp for life, with no bottle refills!!!
As long as the XBOX 360's New Game lineup doesn't ruin my budget planning, I should be fine....
So far I've only been able to get a 11% Boost in Power out of her with the mods I've done.... Anyways, I've got a full list of mods on page two, along with all my other Videos.... Enjoy!!!

Oh yeah!!! Eventually most people will run out of Parts to Install Both, On and In their Engines.... So when you reach that point. What's Left??? Paint and Chrome of course!!! The Chrome, most people allready have figured out. The Paint on the other hand, you have to do on your own. So I figured I'd put up a "How-To" Video to give a few of the members a kick-start!!! Even if all they want is a Clean High-Gloss look, or a Black Engine Bay to Highlight the Motor....

Why paint your engine??? Would you drive an Un-Primered, Un-Painted, Bare-Metal Car, with 18" Chrome Wheels??? If the answer is No.... Then how can you drive with an Un-Primered, Un-Painted, Bare-Metal Engine, with a Crome Intake?!?!?

A video of the Rare 95-96 3000GT Spyder, weight issues be D#mned!!! You can allways shed a few pounds with a Full Lexan Kit, Carbon Fiber Hatch, Carbon Fiber Hood, Racing Seats and a Front Bumper!!! Anyways, this was my dream car after seeing one on EBAY. Only 1,618 3000GT VR4 Spyders where built, along with the 741 Non-Turbo SL Spyders.... So getting one is allmost impossible, even though there's allways a few on EBAY. Not to mention the fact that any sports car with a 100,000 mile warranty was unheard of at the time. Anyways, I moved on to the 3,197 pound 94 3000GT after hitting a dead end on my 94 Eclipse. One look at 3SX.com and GTPro.com and I knew I'd be able to build a DOHC 6G72 for years without any real limmits!!! So I'm still saving up for the 322hp SuperCharger kit from GTPro.com, until then I'm going to have as much fun as I can with her as an All-Motor ride!!! Anyways, I thought the 3000GT Spyder deserved to be mentioned and missed... I also threw in a few pics!!!

I guess it's obvious I'm going to have my car painted Candy Purple when I'm done with the powertrain!!! I'm not really a Camero fan, but I can't deny I love the paint on this guys car.... It's the exact shade of purple I want to paint mine!!!
I also put up a vid to show why a 3000GT twin-turbo conversion with all the extras looks soo much better than the factory VR4 turbo setup. Notice how much better they look when they're not hidden in front of and behind the engine where no one can see them!!! P.S. How do you VR4 boys like those leather seats....
