"I built the Camry to different and unique.should've built something else. J/K !!!!!"

Well here is my turbocharged 1mz-fe in my 1997 camry. The V6 is now powered by a turbonetics turbo. I'm running ??.?lbs. of boost now.

( new update)

running boost the way I was got me worried. so I replaced the weak pistons with some forged ones from wiseco, complete rebuild new journals evrything and 4ply steel head gaskets from MLS. then all hell broke loose!!

update:(feb 3rd 2009)

changed out the intercooler for a bigger one. looks smaller but if you do the math its actaully a little more than double the size. I think it looks dinky though.

heres the old one. Overall core size: 27"W X 4.5"H X 2.5"D. tank to tank= 36"

heres the new one. overall core size: 20"W X 9"H X 4.5"D. tank to tank= 28"

new intercooler works way better. a/r ratios are now running almost one point richer so its time to retune.

heres what the bay looks like............. for now.

UPDATE-

(december 9th 2008)

worked on the car today. took off intake and plenum for porting and cleaned up the enigine bay a bit. removed all the vacuum emissions crap that I had plugged since the begining of the build due to the fact that its ugly and is pointless; wouldn't even work with boost. lol. Tell me if you think the v-bank cover looks better on or off. been looking at it cant decide.

June 16th 2008)-

I went around town to find nice places to take pics...only to find out that most places don't allow photograpgy of the location, unless you have the permission of manager and owner. So I just went everywhere for about an hour and talk to all the security guards before being run off the lot.

So I took a trip to Portland the other week and picked these up -Racing Hart C2's-
