I bought my Platinum Silver 2004 Subaru Impreza WRX STI as a gift for myself after getting back from a 15 month deployment to Iraq in January of 2008. I came from the world of mustangs and v8's, but I am hooked on boost nd AWD now. I've got to say that I love hearing the boxer engine when it's under boost. The tracks haven't opened in central Texas yet but I look forward to doing some 1/4mile runs and am hoping to find a track for some time attack runs or an autocross event somewhere in TX.
I need some good tires, this car came from MN where winter tires were deffinetely needed.
I swapped the stock trunklid in favor of the wrx spolier. The STI wing drew too much unwanted attention.
GReddy carbon titanium exhaust sounds mean, although expensive, I'd reccomend it.
I installed my autometer boost gauge with carbon fibre pod on the column, but I'm going to get an A-pillar pod, I don't like how obtrusive it is and how much it blocks my view of the gauge cluster.
