K, so I finished my stereo a while ago... here's some pix...

so first you gotta tear that car apart... like everything... here's my gear-shift

and torn up some more...

with this bad boy, because GM is the most superior automaker (that's sarcasm) you'll need to buy a GM chime thingy... which I ordered from Crutchfield.com (now they ARE the superior ones) and I believe that this one costs around $70.  Not too difficult to install.  BUT LOTS AND LOTS of wires.

the difficult part hit when I started installing my rear speakers.  again, the Alero is an odd-ball so the rear spearkers (or at least mine did) have four wires a piece.  and my rear speakers only have two wires (naturally).  of course you've got your hot wire and your ground.  but then you're left with 2 other wires... if you use one set you'll have just a "treble" type feel.  but i used a different combo to allow my rears to act as "subs".  it sounds pretty good, actually... i don't remember the coloring but if you have questions, just comment or something and i'll check it out for you.  i know this was a major road block for me so don't be afraid to ask!

ok so the picture uploader thing just broke.  i'm gonna take more pix of my beauty and i'll get back to ya.  thank you so much for stopping by and checking out my page.  i'm not an expert, but if you've got questions, please ask!

I like the gauges. Were they hard to install?

Nice alero.... they dont take much abuse tho... i had mine for about a year and went through a transmission, motor, and intake manifold gasket (like everyone else lol) i guess i was a little hard on it... but now i am fixin it up ... check out my ride... hope to see more.
