Here is a pic of my 1989 lada niva, as yet have not done too much in way of mods, but plan on some serious fun with it including rull cage, hevy duty Bull Bar with winch.
These are the tyres which are going onto it, as suzuki ones currently on are wrong offset (i.e. really heavy in steering)
Doesn't look like much until you take the roof off....
As asked, here is what the boot hinge is set up, nothing fancy, I'm hoping to get it a bit more hevy duty, but it's ok for now...
And, with the true Lada rims (slightly modified) on the car, wasn't sure about the colour until they were on the car, now 100% happy :)
Just got a new bull bar also... Very nice.

Niva now in full resto mode, before going to Soda Blaster....
And After I Got it back....
will have it painted (2pac) in the next few weeks, and then will be putting back on the following:
1.7 efi motor (fully rebuilt)
2 inch lift
roll cage
LSD
Air con
E.R.P.S.
Rear Wheel Carrier
2nd Fuel Tank.
Snorkel
2 inch exhaust
Plus whatever else I can think of that'd help.
