THE EL CAMINO IS SOLD!!
Thanks to all the people that were looking to get her, and sorry to those that didn't get it.
Here are the going away pics that I snapped with my phone.

Here is a little more info on the El Camino thats gone now.
It is an 85 El Camino Conquista. Originally it was Burgandy and silver. I got the car out of a junk yard about 2 years ago. It was several different colors and had no exhaust on it. It also and wires running all over the place. I am not really sure why, but I took a lot of it out and re-did everything. The wipers didn't work, and the headlights had issues. I put in new fuse blocks and re-wired stuff.
About 1 month after I bought her the tranny died. Which I replaced. Around a month ago I was driving home from work and about two miles from home I lost oil pressure. It has sat since. I did start it up just to make sure it wasnt seized. It was fine just a little noisy, so I shut it off. Also, the odometer has not worked since I have owned the car, I just never felt like changing the speedo cable. SO I have no Idea how many miles it really has on it.
I also forgot to mention that this vehicle came from the factory with a 305 TBI and A/C, but as I mention below, it has had a carb put on it and the A/C components have been ripped out. Plus the previous owner hacked the air box out...I assume it was to get the previous exhaust off, because the long tubes that I put on were definately hard as it was. I put the air box back together and taped it up and it has worked fine ever since. Heat blows fine in the winter time.
This is a good picture of how GREAT the car looks from 50 feet away!

Engine: I believe it is a small block 305 with a carb stuck on it. I put on the long tubes, alternator, water pump, proform electric fan, aluminum radiator, Accel coil, new distributor ignition module, newer wires, newer starter, and new valve covers and gaskets. The exhaust consists of the longtubes bolted to a pair of purple hornies ran back to a pair of 40 series Flows.
Body: The body is in so/so shape considering its an 85. Someone already did some bondo work to it and I did a little more. I sprayed it with primer and gunmetal metallic silver. I am by no means a body man. It does have some rust in the fender wells and under the doors, around the side/rear marker lights, and a little here and there. The floor pans are getting soft too. There are some dents and dings of course also. It is missing all of the chrome pieces such as the bed rails and fender flares.
Here are some pics of the rust areas of the car/truck.
Transmission: The transmission is a TCI Street fighter I ordered from Summit. I used the same torque converter that the car came with, so it is not new. I installed a remote mount tranny cooler in front of the radiator, too. I also put in a double hump cross member at that time for the exhaust to clear. The rear end has stock 2.73 and is an open differential.
Interior: Probably the worst part of the car. Parts of the interior have been painted silver and black, some of it stuck and some of it didnt. The gauges all work. It is a bench seat. The door seals leak a little when it rains. There are some pieces of plastic missing, the car came that way.
Wheels/Tires: The wheels are from an 87 IROC-Z. I also have 2 bolt on adapters to push out the wheels since they have a different offset that stock. The wheels are rapped in brand new 245/50-16 Kuhmo Ecsta ASTs which are great tires in my opinion. Car also has new shocks up front. I also have the original wheels with tires I can throw in with it since I dont need them anymore.
This has been one of my favorite vehicles. I have literally driven all over Indiana with it. My summer job is a salesman for a wood restoration company. We work all over the state. Although this car only got about 13 MPG I still loved to take it on a good long cruise.
