Update July 2010 Well the car has been down a long time. Since a cinder block went through the transmission of my Shelby Daytona, I thought it was time the Lebaron got a good motor. Unfortunately the top end I threw on the 2.5 went away for other purposes and the stock intake, exhaust and turbo went back on the new motor. The new motor however has had a recent rebuild, new head, new cam seals, new timing belt, new plugs, new mopar performance headgasket and headbolts, and a new set of gaskets. I pulled the old motor and trans out and tore down the block and it still turns over fine, headgasket wasn't blown, the new head it had wasn't cracked and there was no coolant in the oil so the reason why it stopped running is still a mystery..... HMMMM.I know I didn't clean up the new engine, the engine bay, or anything like that like I should have but alas I am in a bit of a hurry to get this car rolling and I can worry about aesthetics later. I am not leaving the red valve cover on, its just there to protect the head. The car will look good again I promise, just needs a little love and a lotta work. But don't they all? Before I stopped driving the car it needed a lot of help, so now is a better time then ever!Anyways here are some pics of the car being pulled out of it's hole, the old drivetrain coming out, and the new drivetrain going in! Enjoy. More to come soon when I start the car, get it running, and start cleaning it all up. It will be beautiful again one day.
