Front brakes a done. New rotors and pads. I also took a little time to freshen up the red on the calipers that was on there when I got the car and grease the caliper slides up. I figured, what the hell...Might as well grease up the rear calipers as well and do a close check over everything. First one went well, but the second one had a frozen slider. I tried everything to break it free. No luck. New caliper and assembly is on order and should be here in a few days. I am guessing I could run with it....but I would rather have something I know is working for the sake of safety.
Nice to have some nice shiny new parts instead of the rusty old ones. I wonder if they were the original rotors that came with the car. The pad failure was a little worse then I had thought. The backing plate of the pad in the last picture tells all. So much for the cheap street crap that was on there. Though whatever they were did well to stop. I am really looking forward to these BHP brakes. Going to be fun testing them out. I saved the best rotor to keep for emergencies until I get another new one as a spare. I also picked up a quart of ATE Super Blue to flush out the lines after everything is done. Lord knows how long this ATE Super Blue has been in there. Still feels good and solid...but again...wont hurt to flush it.
