Maxines New Paint Job
Well, after a full dry summer of driving fast on a few tracks, it happened!!!
3 days of rain. When it cleared off and I went out to Maxine. I was sick to my stomach when I saw her. The rain had gotten underneath the clearcoat on the hood and side panels.

As you see the in the pictures...Maxine could not stay like this. So I took all the graphics off and found yet another problem. A rust hole.

Paint sanding process
Well I loaded up in the new donated trailer and put on the mask and started sanding Maxine down to get ready for the paint shop.

Well, many thanks go out to Dale for taking Maxine in and doing the final prep and body repair. He painted her and was not happy with the finish product...so he did another wet sand and painted her again. The black nose was also redone by Dale.

Decals back on Maxine
Made a small change this time and went to an 8 inch double stripe. Many thanks to Linda at 44 Sports for cutting the massive amounts of vinyl for me. She is the best.
I also went with white mirrors this time. They sure stand out.
