I had the stripes painted and covered with 3 coats of clear. When I run my hand across the hood there is no bump, just smooth all the way across. I got the silver paint code from a silver 03 Cobra and had the paint shop add the same amount of metallic flake as the rest of the car. When the sun shines on the paint the "glitter" is the same across the stripes as the rest of the car.
I know the spoiler is bigger than most would want, but I bought it because it is functional. I am planning on running the car in the Nevada Silver State Classic, and I need the extra down-force the spoiler provides at speeds over 160mph.
