This is my 1990 BMW 535i manual. It's rare and is getting rarer every minute due to the fact that only 5% of e34 535s were 5 speed manual. I'm very lucky to own such an amazing piece of history. The car it self is being returned to its original beauty and will hopefully be with me for many more years of driving pleasure. Expect regular updates as I bring this German High Performance Saloon back to showroom condition.

This was when I first got it in Feb of 07. Previously being in a minor accident the hood and right headlight assembly had to be replaced. After sitting a few years the black primer hood began rusting. After towing the car back with my father and his Honda Pilot(workhorse) the car sat for a few months while I waited for the title. During that time I did my best in the freezing Michigan winter to go over the whole car and figure out what was wrong.

Then came the day that the I checked the mail and there was a title. YAY!! I was so excited. It was April and I was feeling good. It was getting warmer and after 3 days of working I finally got the chance to go to my local Secretary of State. When I got home I drove the car and thats when this great adventure began.

I quickly decided that the rusty hood was no good. After 3 cans of cheap black primer the hood was now black and the car looked like it came straight out of The Fast and the Furious(ricer).

So far my problems list is insane!
-Transmission refuses to smoothly shift into 3rd about 50% of the time
-Front shocks are really dead and bouncy.
-Head gasket is starting to secrete oil from the right side of the block
-I can't get the tail lights to work (thinking faulty LKM)
-Steering is very vague and loose
-Gauges have issues
-Needs better tires
-The whole car needs some serious body work

^^ I'll update the list as things change ^^

After having the hood black for a while I got tired and decided I'd paint it green with the closest color I could find in a can.
Success!! Well not really but it does look a bit better. Just a temporary solution until I get the whole car resprayed.

Lot's of work has been done. It's about to go into paint in just a few weeks hopefully and the final body work should be finished up this weekend.

It looks good. Its got a good home and will be fixed soon. I really want to get a EAT chip for mine. That will boost up the horsepower pretty good. You should join my group called everything goes. I'll be more than happy to answer any questions.
