My 1972 Lancia Fulvia 1.3S, with a 1.3 liter V-4 and a 5 speed tranny. Pretty sophisticated for back in the day. The V-4 puts about 90 HP to the front wheels, but the car's weight is so balanced, you really have no hint it's FWD.
