Well, this is my page for the resurection of the phoenix... El Diablo. This car has been in the family since 1981 when my parents bought her. I bought her from them in '98 (after smacking up the whole passenger side) and drove her until '03. My bro-in-law took her off my hands at that time with the intentions of giving her a makeover. Talk, talk, talk.... no work ever happened. He decided to sell, I decided to re-buy. I'm doing a frame off resto, and have ordered the parts that I need for the rolling chassis.

This is what will soon be known as 'El Diablo'. Right now, she's a rust bucket. This is her good side... trust me!

I put theses stickers on way back when to rebadge her as a Diablo. One of my worst memeories (besides smaking her up) of her was when my Mom and Dad decided to remove the diablo decals on the sides, and the Phoenix on the hood. Quite traumatizing for a 4 year old!!

She'll be going in for surgery, and radiation therapy for the cancer of the body panels, and engine (among other things). I'm starting the disassembling phase of OPERATION EL DIABLO tonight. Wish me luck!

If I can figure out how to get the rest of the before pics on here, I will.

Parts ordered, for those interested:

Global West Upper and lower rear control arms, and lower front A arms all with Del a lum bushings
SPC adj. Upper A arms with greasable racing bushings
AFX Spindles
Wilwood 13" C6 drilled, slotted and vented rotors w/6 piston calipers for the front, and 12.5" Rotors and 4 piston calipers for the rear
UMI Lower control arm relocation brackets
Weld in Lower control arm support brackets
Currie 9" crate rear end with True trac 3.70 gears
Monster 700r4 tranny with manual shift kit
SC&C Chassis Brace
