this is what i picked up when i sold the red neon its a way better car and i dont have to deal with a slow automatic. when i got the car the timeing was not set right so i reste it and it ran perfect till i seen all the water dissappearing and going into the oil. I decided to tear the head off and come to find 4 cracks on the block right under the head and letting all the water into the oil. Well the decisions were build another sohc for it or put my spare dohc in. who would go back to sohc when u have a dohc setting there? not me ha so ya i tore the dohc apart replaced water pump and head gasket and cleaned up the pistons and the head real good. I cut the p/s lines off and filled it with power steering fluid and hosed it 2gether so the other lines are never in my way. Ill get these pics up soon keep checking back on this build and let me know what u think.

For the swap i dont have a dohc harness but thats not a problem u can use the sohc one just need to extend the water temp sensor wires.

the motor and tranny is in and almost all put 2gether. pics soon as i get a camera that works.
Runs like a dream. installed a mid long header and bought a 2 piece intake and ran ir under the battery. took the cat off not she is runnin wide open and fast as hell!!!

got rid of the steelies and put on my white alloys looks so much better

 

got rid of the sohc put in a 2.0 dohc and blew a hole in a cylinder wall now it has 2.4. dont have intake back on yet i been lazy working on my other project plus now i got a 2g talon to fix and drive.

sold airbags going light wieght anyways...

 

sohc hood with dohc under there had to make room so i raised the hood and it helps alot with reducing heat.
