This is our 1999 Volvo S70. We bought it new -- ordered it from the factory, actually -- and received it in April or May of 1999.

It's absolutely base -- the only option is the moonroof. It's got a 2.5-liter 5-cylinder motor making all of 162 horsepower (no, no turbo) and a 5-speed manual transmission. Yes, they make Volvo's with manual transmissions. They even sell about 7 of them every year.
Ours now has just over 166,000 miles on it (actually, I just watched 166,666 go by), and all of 'em are ours. This is my daily driver now, and hopefully will be for the next 150,000 miles or so.

Yeah, I know. A Volvo sedan...yawn. Still, we like it. We've had it longer than we've had our kids. It's been to the east coast with us, and carried all four of our kids home from the hospital for the first time. It's been vandalized, it's been through a tornado and my wife put it in the ditch once. It's been to Hell and it's been to Paradise. We even got a good deal (like, below invoice) when we bought it.
I have a lot of pictures of the Volvo...but they pre-date our first digital camera, so they're all 35mm prints out in a trunk in the garage.
