This is my Toyota Echo Sportivo 5-door. 2000 model, 70,000km as of March 08.
Fitted a new sound system, needed custom wood brackets in the doors to replace the crappy stock plastic ones which were for 5 1/4" speakers:
Pioneer head unit
Pioneer 6" 3-ways in the doors
Pioneer 4" 2-ways in the dash
Bezerk 600W RMS amp
JBL 12" 250W RMS sub
Powered by an absolutely HUGE 1.5L engine ;). No mods as yet.
One of my first projects for the car was upgrading that terrible horn. $20 later a custom aluminium bracket under the hood holds the new air horns. SO LOUD!
Echo's in Australia come standard with this digital dash.
Two switches I installed:
One controls the two red footwell neons, put in as a bit of a joke, luckily when they aren't on there's no way of knowing they're there. Yes, I need to clean the floor.
And the other switch is now connected to my homemade electric exhaust cutout, built in my home workshop.
The sound is EPIC! Not too loud, but it has a very deep note, but thank god I can turn it off because it gets SO annoying.
Change from manual control to electric which is much easier.
