thanks for checking out my ride also, love the cleaness of your civic too bad you had to let it go bro. =[ and to answer the question yea if it rains hard it would pick up water and hydrolock will occure in no time, thats why i bought a AEM by pass, to allow air to come in even if the filter is completly wet. after it makes it way to the mid section water will be leaked by before it makes it way to the manifold + motor. its pretty safe.. but if its rainy season i perfer to use my short ram Injen intake. save me time and trouble. =] take care brO* peace fo now, iGSR-DC2 ((jimmy)) be safe* love your other rides, there clean 5***** left on all cars
