02/26/2008 Taking delivery of our 2008 Shelby GT, Vista Blue, CSM 08SGT0235. Yes, we are in our early 50's, but we never got to own one of these cars when we were teen agers, and we've worked hard to get where we are now, so we are rewarding ourselves for that hard work!

This car is AWESOME! I'm 50 years young and never thought I'd ever own something like this, but the price was right after it sat on the dealer floor for 5 months, so I couldn't pass it up.
For those of you who didn't know that the Shelby GT came in Vista Blue, if you'll check around on the web about the 2008 Shelby GT, you'll find that it is the ONLY color available for the 2008 year model with the exception of about 100 Grabber Orange and 100 Black With Red Stripes for the Barrett Jackson Edition.
The more I drive this car, the more I fall in love with it...I've taken two trips in it now, one to Dallas and one to Austin. Everyone gawks at the car and wants to know about it, and it handles so fine on the road. Passing slower cars is as simple as mashing on the gas pedal...all of a sudden you're in tripple digits before you know it...I do want to add the GT500 rear spoiler on her though, because deep into tripple digits I can feel the rear end getting lighter, so I just want to be able to plant it a little better with the spoiler. I'll post pics as soon as I get all of that done.
Web Electric Tail light harness installed 5/5/2008 to make all 6 tail lights light up as brake lights (Old Shelby Style), GT500 Spoiler installed 05/06/2008, CDC Dead Pedal installed 5/8/2008,
Just did my first oil change this week, and of course, I used Mobil 1 5W20 in conjunction with the Motorcraft oil filter. Mobil 1 is all that will touch this motor as long as I have anything to say about it!
