This is my 1948 Plymouth Special Deluxe. It has been in or family since 1978. We were the second owners of this sweet little ride. My father bought was driving down the highway in Bakersfield Ca. when he saw the car sitting the driveway of the rural home. The Original owner was an elderly gentleman by the nick name of "Pa" from whom my father purchased the car for $600.00 dollars. After bringing it home he began his restore process. Removing and re-chroming a majority of the chrome that was in need of a redo. While parts were off he had the entire car repainted in 1980 the beautiful black finish that it has today. The paint job cost him 300 bucks. Man what a great price. The receipt is still in the glove box.
In 1993, My dad passed away leaving me one of his most prized possessions. Theses are recent pictures of the car parked out on the street. I hope you guys enjoy the pics because I sure do.

Hey there, its cool to see you put it on the site. That car is a real piece of American History. Having seen it in person, I can say you have something to be proud of.

Wow!! Now thats a real ride there!! She looks beautiful!! Nothing like an old American Classic... I really like the body style of that era, I had a 51 Buick with a similar body style.... your car is in a class all by itself, an easy 5 stars and you should be up for showoff of the week... come by and check out my 59 Dodge sometime.
