This is Clifford, a 1991 Ford Explorer Sport. The car got its name from the solid red color of the interior and exterior. I purchased the car from a rural rout postal carrier. I think the frequent trips on country roads are what caused the damage to the body of the car. As you will see in the pictures there is a lot of rust and missing pieces of body. My goal in this project is to rebuild and modernize the body of the car. Then I will work on the interior.
This is the car in the garage. The head gaskets and covers needed to be replaced due to rust. Everything else seemed in decent shape for now. It has a rebuilt tranny with about 5,000 miles on it. You can see in this picture that the clear coat is pealing off of the body behind the door and the rust on the ground from the body.
Closer view of rust damage under and behind the passenger side door.

Pretty plane rear end. Rust damage on the bumper but nothing major for now.
